2. What AdaptiveLift is

AdaptiveLift is a software platform that provides:

  • Rule-based, adaptive training programmes for athletes
  • A coaching portal for personal trainers and strength and conditioning coaches to manage clients

AdaptiveLift is a technology platform only. We are not a fitness service, medical service, or healthcare provider. Nothing on the platform constitutes medical advice, clinical guidance, or a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use AdaptiveLift. By creating an account you confirm that you are 16 or over.

If you are a coach using the platform, you confirm that you hold any qualifications required by law or regulation to provide fitness coaching in your jurisdiction.

4. Your account

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring the information you provide is accurate

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Athletes

Access to AdaptiveLift's full features requires a paid subscription. A free trial period is offered to new subscribers. Payment is collected at the start of the trial; your first charge occurs at the end of the trial period.

Coaches

Coach access requires a separate paid subscription based on your chosen tier (Starter, Growth, Pro, or Unlimited). A 30-day free trial is available; your first charge occurs at the end of the trial period.

General billing terms

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period
  • You can cancel at any time via the billing portal in Settings — access continues until the end of the current paid period
  • Refunds are not offered for partial billing periods
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice
  • All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms of service

6. Coach responsibilities

Coaches using AdaptiveLift accept full responsibility for:

  • The fitness programmes and advice they provide to their clients
  • Ensuring they hold appropriate qualifications and insurance for their coaching activities
  • Complying with applicable laws regarding fitness instruction and data handling for their clients
  • Any client relationship established through or facilitated by the platform

AdaptiveLift provides tools to support coaches — we are not a party to the coach-client relationship and accept no liability for coaching outcomes.

7. Health and safety

Exercise carries inherent risk. By using AdaptiveLift you acknowledge that:

  • You have sought medical advice if you have any pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns before beginning a training programme
  • You exercise at your own risk
  • AdaptiveLift's programmes are based on the information you provide — accuracy of that information is your responsibility
  • You should stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or any other concerning symptom

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use AdaptiveLift for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account with others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the platform
  • Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or the platform's systems

9. Intellectual property

All software, content, and design of AdaptiveLift is owned by Charlotte Fettes, trading as AdaptiveLift, or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of it without written permission.

Your personal training data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of data you input into the platform.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • AdaptiveLift is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the platform or any training programme generated by it
  • We are not liable for the conduct or advice of any coach using the platform
  • Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11. Availability

We aim to keep AdaptiveLift available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or suspend the service for operational reasons with or without notice.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of AdaptiveLift after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

AdaptiveLift is operated from the United Kingdom. We make no representation that the platform is appropriate or available in all locations. Users outside the UK access the platform at their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with their local laws.
